Deltarune Progress Update

• The new Gamemaker function still has some issues, so the fanbase mass testing on CH1&2 will be delayed.
• CH3 is currently being checked by 8-4 (the Japanese translation company) to see if everything displays correctly.
• Beginning of "professional testing" on PC is planned for mid-October.
• CH4's content is done, there's only bugfixing, translation, and the console port left.
• Everyone who's not working on these is moving to CH5.

Progress Update

• CH3&4 are almost done (and longer than CH1&2).
• Part of the team is moving on to CH5.
• The release is "still far"
  • The team wants to release the game for consoles and in Japanese at the simultaneously with the English PC version
  • There are more details (about 5 things they need to do before the release) at https://toby.fangamer.com/updates/quests/
    • They're testing a new function for Gamemaker. In a few weeks, they'll release a version of CH1&2 for the community to test.
    • They need to test the game for console-specific bugs and other differences and update the game for each console's rules/standards.
    • The Japanese text is essentially ready to be put in (except any lines they forgot to send to the localization team). However, the "location and timing" still need to be adjusted.
    • The game has to be bug-tested. They have hired a company to playtest the game.
    • There are also other things left: age rating, the OST, making the trailer and releasing materials (and possibly more).
• The release schedule for CH5 and beyond will be "a lot smoother"

10. Temmie drew a (Lunar) New Year card for 8-4 (a Japanese localization company. They were the ones who translated Undertale and Deltarune into Japanese.)

Development Update

• A few more people were hired (thanks to the new producer) around 1,5 months ago.
• Development is going at the predicted pace.
• In CH4, a few cutscenes and around 10 "maps" (rooms?) are left to be made.
• A complicated "gimmick" (defined as "something like the teacup ride from Chapter 2") nearly has all of its iterations made. There are also gimmicks for the 10 to-be-done maps, "and one more thing".
• After this is done, there will be a lot of polishing for an unknown amount of time.
• Toby hopes that CH4 will be halfway polished by the next update and part of the team will move to CH5.
• It's still too early for a release date to be announced.
